African ART style can be viewed in many ways. Someone thinks it is rude and lurid, someone is confused by the excessive brightness, someone believes that things of this type can only be found in ethnographic museums, and someone is in love with the African Continent so much that they agree to live in an African interior. One thing is certain - African ART has penetrated so deeply into European culture and has given such lush and abundant fruits, that has become a part not only of high art, but also of everyday life. Today, any person far from ethnography or art history unmistakably recognizes Africa in colors, resembling nature, people, animals,; in patterns that imitate the skins of savannah animals; in the characteristic poses of dancing black figures, not to mention antelopes, giraffes, spearheads or African elephants. And it's hard to believe that African style in European culture is only a hundred years old. But even at the beginning of the last century, only lonely enthusiasts were engaged in the study of "primitive" and africa art. However, in fairness it should be noted that as soon as the first ART exhibitions of African people, held in Marseille, Paris and New York in 1920-1930, attracted the attention of sophisticated connoisseurs, so the white West could no longer tear itself away from the life-giving source of African ART. With a wide variety of tribal styles, African traditional ART culture has the following characteristics:
strict symmetry of the composition - nature, people, animals, trees,
geometric simplicity of shapes - coffee, palm,
balanced architectonics
external static - animals, trees,
inner dynamism - camel, giraffe, antelope,
lack of sensuality
sentimentality combined with emotionality
external rigor - tribe, turtle, elephant,
brevity and asceticism
internal expression - ostrich, baobab, mirrors,
